Mac users: do not upgrade to macOS Sequoia until further notice Archived

To prevent potential service disruptions, IT Services strongly discourages users from upgrading to macOS Sequoia upon its release date of Monday, September 16, 2024.

macOS Sequoia is a major feature release. These releases often introduce bugs that affect critical applications. Over the next several weeks, applications such as SPSS, Adobe, and Forticlient (Campus VPN) will update their support statements for macOS Sequoia. Until then, IT Services strongly recommends waiting to install this upgrade until compatibility and stability are confirmed. We anticipate confirmation by December 2024 or January 2025.

Disregard any notifications prompting you to upgrade your device to macOS Sequoia. If you must upgrade sooner, please contact the IT Support Centre before upgrading so that we can verify application compatibility and minimize downtime.
