Wireless network certificate update - Feb 2, 2016 Update Archived
*Update*

The wireless certificate update has resolved the client incompatibilities. Users should no longer receive repeated certificate prompts when connecting to the QueensuSecure_WPA2 and eduroam networks.

Users must accept the certificate upon the initial connection to the wireless network.

The wireless certificate for radius.its.queensu.ca will be updated in an effort to resolve some client incompatibilities.

Users may be prompted to re-accept the certificate for radius.its.queensu.ca.

The original certificate was updated on Tuesday February 2.

The ITSupport Centre has experienced an increase in calls with respect to the wireless certificate update.

Please pay attention to steps 10 & 11 in the Windows 7 and Windows 10 tutorials.

As part of regularly-scheduled maintenance the wireless authentication server certificate will be updated on February 2, 2016. The renewed certificate will be valid until February 2018.

As a result, some devices will request acceptance of the new certificate before connecting to Queen's wireless networks.

After accepting the new certificate, wireless access will be restored.
