Password Prompt in Office 2016 has ChangedArchived
Recent changes to Office 365 authentication affects users who had previously chosen not to save their password in applications such as Outlook and Skype.
Users are no longer prompted for a password every time they open Office applications. This is expected behavior. ITS recommends users always lock their computer before leaving it unattended. Users can easily lock their Windows based computer by pressing the Windows key + L. Mac Users can lock using Command + Ctrl + Q
If multiple people are using the same computer, a user profile should be created for each person to log in with.
