Changes coming this week to PeopleSoft Finance Archived

On Thursday, Mar 25, between 6:00-7:00 am, PeopleSoft Finance will undergo scheduled maintenance, which will result in three changes for you:

1 Accessing PeopleSoft Finance:
After the maintenance is complete, you will access the PeopleSoft Finance system from an updated link in MyQueen’sU and will no longer use vpn.queensu.ca.

2 Logging in:
After the maintenance is complete, you will notice a new, Queen’s-branded login page. The new login page will require you to use NetID@queensu.ca instead of using just your NetID when you are prompted for your account name. As well, if you have enrolled for multi-factor authentication, you will now be prompted for your second factor to authenticate into PeopleSoft Finance.

3 Navigating with breadcrumb:
After the maintenance is complete, users who use the "classic menu" feature may see periodic delays when navigating through the breadcrumb menu. If this happens, users should perform a browser refresh to resolve the issue:
--> Hold down Ctrl and press R for Windows computers
--> Hold down Command and press R for Mac computers

The Fluid user interface was introduced during our PeopleSoft upgrade in February of 2019 with the intent of replacing the “classic menu” navigation. At that time, we shared two documents outlining how to optimize your navigation experience with the new user interface. Those documents were “Navigating in PeopleSoft Finance” and “Add a new tile to your Homepage or NavBar”. Please review these documents and start navigating using the Fluid user interface to avoid any issues you might experience when navigating using the classic menu.
