We have investigated the issue and have identified large mailing list messages causing a delay in delivery. Once the backlog clears message delivery times will return to normal.

ITS is investigating reports of mail being delayed when originating from scanners and listserv.
Departments running their own mail systems and software systems that send email may also be affected.
ITS will post an update to this notification when more information is available.
