On July 11, 2024, IT services will be making changes to devices on the directories (AD and EntraID):
- Devices inactive for more than 2 years, will be deleted from EntraID,
- Devices inactive for more than 18 months will be disabled in both AD and EntraID

This will become an ongoing maintenance process, which will improve the accuracy and security of the Queen's directories. Additional information for IT admin reps can be found on the IT Admin Rep SharePoint Site including how to tell if a device is disabled or deleted and how to obtain a BitLocker key if a device has been deleted.

No action is required, however if you are aware of a device that has been shelved/powered off for more than 18 months that should maintain access to the directory, powering on the system and accessing the Queen's network is required. It is also important to patch any system that has been shelved for any duration immediately.
