Microsoft's February Security Update could cause BSOD's / restart issues Archived
There are reports that a recent Windows update is causing problems for some users. The symptom will be a BSOD upon restart with an error code of 0X00000050.

This appears to be affecting all versions of Windows.

At this point, we are not advising anyone not to apply updates. If we start to see issues here in the Support Centre, we will update the advisory.
