IT Services has re-routed email to hotmail.com and messages are now flowing. The message queues are being drained so users may see an influx of new messages.

Hotmail is currently blocking email from Queen's. Users that forward email to a hotmail account need to turn forwarding off until further notice.
Users that have a hotmail account listed as an external email account for self service password resets should consider using a different email service for their external address. This can be changed at https://netid.queensu.ca
The problem has been caused by the large volume of SPAM being generated on campus. Users continue to respond to phishing attacks asking for netid and password information, allowing the hacker to use the account to send large volumes of SPAM. Users should NEVER respond to any request for username and password information.
