IT Services is aware of an increase in the amount of spam being delivered to email users. In a typical hour our spam firewall will block 5000 emails that are unwanted. Currently we are blocking 75000 emails per hour and a small percentage of spam is still getting through. Because of the nature of the attack we will not be able to stop all spam, but we will continue to monitor the situation, and provide any updates if needed. If anyone receives the spam please delete from your inbox, no further steps are required.
