*Update*
Thursday March 5 in the afternoon from 4pm-6:45pm one of our 3 spam filters for email was replaced due to aging hardware. A configuration error occurred which caused incoming email delivery for Queen's to fail. This resulted in mail being returned to the sender.
The list below are the domains (departments) that would have been affected. Processes are now in place to ensure this does not happen again in the future. Also affected would be any departmental email servers that relay their outgoing mail through mail.queensu.ca or applications/functions (moodle, photocopiers) that use mail.queensu.ca to deliver mail.
This did not affect email being sent internally to another user on O365 or outgoing email to non-Queen’s addresses.
ITS apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused.
Departments known to be affected are as follows as we route their mail.
Queen's mail is currently not sending and receiving mail due to a configuration error in our mail gateways. IT Services is currewntly working on the problem.
