*Update*

ITS continues to work on the issue of delayed email sent via Moodle forums.

This issue is caused by a change in how the Moodle application handles forum post emails in Moodle 2.8 (current academic version). ITS believes this change was made to improve reliability of the emails sent; however, the result of the change is a much slower delivery of email.

In the short term, instructors should recommend that students check their Moodle forums for current posts.

Moodle posts sent through course News and other course forums are currently experiencing slower than normal delivery times.

Students should check their course News Forum (where your instructors post course announcements) and individual forums for any current posts.

ITS is investigating this issue and will update this notification when it is resolved.
