The SPAM type print jobs received on some printers last Thursday and Friday were generated from a grey-hat hacker who goes by the name "stackoverflowin" . The person has admitted publicly to sending the print job to over 150,000 devices on the internet. This particular incident does not indicate that your printer was hacked, but it does reveal that your printer is accessible to the internet.
If you had received this print job, ITS would like to hear from you. ITS will then direct or assist you in securing your device.
