Microsoft Outlook Update for Windows Clients May be Required before October 31 Update Archived
Note: this notice only applies to you if you are still using Outlook 2007 or if you do not install Office updates as they become available. Users affected by this Microsoft change have been emailed directly.

As of Tuesday, October 31, 2017, users of Microsoft Outlook 2007 will no longer be able to access email hosted in Office 365. You will also be affected if you use a newer version of Outlook but have not applied the security updates provided by Microsoft.

To avoid this disruption of email service, ITS recommends that users install Outlook 2016. Office 2016, which includes Outlook, is available for personal computer use via the Microsoft portal and is available for Queen’s owned computers through MyQueensU.

Please visit the ITS website for assistance in obtaining or installing Office 2016.
