On Thursday, February 28, 2019, between 6.30 – 7.30 am, IT Services will be performing testing of the emergency messaging system in the live WebPublish environment. This system is part of the broader Queen’s Emergency Notification System and allows for the syndication of emergency messaging from the main Queen’s site to all WebPublish sites.

During the testing window, WebPublish sites will display the following test emergency message, above the site banner:

“Testing Queen’s Emergency Messaging System: this message will be removed shortly.”

The message will only be visible for a matter of minutes, after which time it will be removed.

Note that no disruption to WebPublish sites (authoring and live) is anticipated, though, as always, we would advise against making any changes to your site during the testing window to avoid potential data loss.

This notification will be updated to confirm the completion of the testing.
