The Scheduled Maintenance is taking a bit longer than expected. The scheduled maintenance will be extended to 1:30pm.

On Sunday, May 2 from 5:30 am to 12:30 pm, IT Services will replace the Dupuis Data Centre firewall (DCP Firewall). 

What does this mean for you?


During the maintenance window, some Queen’s services will be unavailable or inaccessible.


Services that will NOT BE AVAILABLE during the maintenance window include:



  • SOLUS

  • PeopleSoft, FAST, Enterprise Document & Records Management Systems (EDRMS)

  • Identity management services, including the NetID Profile Manager (you will not be able to change your password) and Queen's Active Directory (AD)

  • Access to Windows File Share (WFS), including I: and Q: drives

  • Queen’s websites using Web Publish 2, both authoring and production


Services that will REMAIN AVAILABLE during the maintenance window include:



  • Office 365, such as email (Outlook on the Web), Teams, OneDrive, etc.

  • OnQ

  • SeQure

  • Zoom

  • Queen’s Streaming Service

  • Queen’s main website

  • Queen’s websites using WebPublish 3

  • Campus wired and wireless networks

  • Campus telephony system


This upgrade is essential to ensure the continued security of our services and information.
