New MFA protections for applications - March 5, 2024 Archived

On March 5, 2024, Queen's University will be increasing the number of applications protected with Multifactor Authentication (MFA). Queen’s staff, students and faculty who have enroled in MFA, can expect MFA prompts (similar in frequency to that of Microsoft 365) for the following applications:

  • Bonfire

  • Canto

  • JDXpert

  • Proofpoint

  • School of Graduate Studies sites

  • Simplicity (Harassment & Discrimination Tracking)

  • Undergraduate Admissions (Salesforce)

  • Ventus


Queen’s Teaching and Learning Applications:



  • Articulate 360

  • Digital Library

  • Digital Theatre Plus

  • Library Bookings

  • Library Web Proxy

  • Library ASTM

  • Omni

  • Overleaf

  • Pressbooks

  • Qspace

  • Vital source


Multifactor authentication is an important tool in the prevention of data and reputational loss at Queen’s University. Increasing the number of applications protected is an ongoing process, additional applications will be protected in the coming months.
