Shared Mailbox Automatic Replies Not Accessible in Outlook Classic

Some users are encountering an issue when attempting to set Automatic Replies (Out of Office) for shared mailboxes in the Outlook Classic desktop client. If the shared mailbox is added as a primary or additional account in the Outlook profile, the following error may appear when selecting Automatic Replies:
"Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try again later."
AFFECTED VERSIONS
This issue was first observed with Outlook Current Channel Version 2505 (Build 18827.20128) and affects builds 18510.10000 and later. To check your Outlook version, refer to: What version of Outlook do I have?
STATUS
Microsoft has confirmed the issue and escalated it to the Outlook Team. A fix is in progress, and we will share an update once more information becomes available.
WORKAROUND
You can still configure automatic replies for shared mailboxes using Outlook on the web (OWA):
- Open Outlook on the web and click your profile icon in the top right.
- Select Open another mailbox, then search for and open the shared mailbox.
- In the new window that opens, select the Settings (gear) icon.
- Navigate to Account > Automatic replies to configure the settings.
