Windows App Fails to Connect to WVD-TS (used to access MyHR)

A recent Windows update has broken the "Windows App" that is used when logging into a Windows Virtual Desktop. For many, this is the service that will allow you to access MyHR from a personal device.
Those who use the "Windows App" on their Windows-based computer may still access WVD via a web browser. Simply visit https://windows.cloud.microsoft/ in your preferred web browser to access the service.

Microsoft has announced that this will be resolved in the next cumulative update in mid February.
