QShare will be unavailable during the evening of Tuesday, November 15, starting at 5:00 pm and lasting for up to 6 hours. During this time, a new service pack is being installed in order to correct a problem some users have been experiencing with group permissions.

During the maintenance period, users will not be able to access QShare. Anyone who needs to use QShare files during the service outage should download those files to their local machine prior to 5:00 pm this evening.

As part of the effort to verify that the group permissions issue has been resolved, QShare will not be authenticated through Single Sign-On (SSO) after the service pack has been installed. This means that users will see a different log-in screen when they go to http://qshare.queensu.ca. Users will still use their NetID and password to log in.
