ITServices will be performing maintenance on our load balancers to ensure continued reliability, security and compliance. Maintenance will take place in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 8th between the hours of 5:00 am and 7:30am.
This maintenance will cause 4 short outages (each approximately 30 seconds in duration) affecting many Queen’s services including MyQueensU, PeopleSoft and e-Services. A detailed list of services affected can be found at http://www.queensu.ca/its/Services/LBServicesForUpgrade2015.html. The first interruption will be at 5am, with 3 subsequent interruptions approximately 45 minutes apart. All maintenance steps are scheduled to be completed by 7:30 am. A notification via the ITS-NOTICE-L will be sent out immediately after the upgrade has been completed.

Note: Extensive planning and testing has been completed to ensure the success of this work. In the event that unexpected installation problems arise that significantly affect usability, a contingency plan has been developed to quickly revert all changes. Our goal is to minimizing outages and the impact on the University community.
