Issues with email delivery from applications on campus Update Archived

The issue with the email relay on campus has been resolved. ITS worked with the vendor to remove a corrupt virus definition file that was causing the latency.

ITS has received reports from a number of application owners experiencing issues sending email notifications from their applications hosted on campus. The mail gateway - mail.queensu.ca, is experiencing latency issues causing these type of emails to fail to send.

ITS is investigating the cause and has made efforts to improve the service. We are continuing to monitor the situation and will update this notification when more details are available.
