Queens Web Services Not Reachable Off Campus For Some Users Update Archived
Propagation of the fix applied this morning at 10:30 am continues to be reflected with service providers around the world.

IT Services will continue to monitor the propagation of the fix this evening and over the weekend. As of 2:30 pm, Google DNS, a major DNS provider to off campus users, has applied the required fix.

Users off campus continue to report problems accessing Queen's websites and services. The propagation of a fix applied at 10:30 continues to propagate to Internet Service Providers and is taking longer then expected.

Access to Queen's University websites and services from off campus has been fully restored. If you are still experiencing trouble connecting to a Queen's website or to a service, please contact the IT Support Centre.

IT Services has determined that our domain hosting provider is experiencing technical issues that is affecting some off campus users. To address this problem, IT Services will be changing to another provider at 10:30 am. After 10 - 15 minutes, services should be fully restored to all users.

ITS Services are investigating reports of some off campus users not being able to access Queen's websites or services. The cause is not known at this time.

IT Services are investigating both the cause and possible workarounds that can be provided.

This notification will be updated when more specific information is known.
