Upcoming Change to Queen's Password Update Policy – Effective October 10, 2024 Archived

As of October 10, 2024, Queen’s will no longer require NetID account holders to update their passwords annually. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to streamline security processes while maintaining high standards of account protection.

What’s Changing:
• Annual Password Updates: You will no longer need to change your NetID password annually.
• Security Notices: If a potential security risk is detected on your account, you may still receive a notification prompting an immediate password update. Please follow the provided instructions and change your password through https://netid.queensu.ca

Special Note for Alumni and Retirees:
Alumni and retirees wishing to keep their NetID accounts active will receive an annual reminder to log into the identity system to confirm continued usage.
